The Good Life is not the "Goods" Life
Posted July 27th, 2008 by financial wellnessAccording to research by psychologist Tim Kasser, Ph.D, individuals who say that goals for money, image, and popularity are relatively important to them also report less satisfaction with life, fewer experiences of pleasant emotions, and more depression and anxiety.

cancer cures

Watching a bit of TV lst night, I caught a few minutes of a piece on 60 Minutes about the latest potential cure for cancer. This one utilized radio frequency generators to target tumors injected with metal, the heat generated killed the cancer cells. Don't get me wring, I think it's great to have something to offer those unfortuante patients whose health has been seriously compromised by cancer.

Celebrate your independence!

The fourth of July is a great time to remember how fortunate we are to live in this great country, and how dear to us is the notion of "freedom". Let us not forget that freedom extends in all spheres, not just personal liberties. Personally, I cherish the idea of being free of pharmaceuticals!

Conscious Living: Loving the Infernal Internal

What if I should discover that the poorest of the beggars and the most impudent of offenders are all in me, and that I stand in need of the alms of my own kindness; that I myself am the enemy that must be loved-what then? —Carl G. Jung

Healthy Tan?
Posted May 15th, 2008 by cocoYou see a 'beautiful' tan and your immediate thought might be that it is healthy looking, however that tanned look is actually your skin's response to the damaging effects of ultraviolet radiation. Ultraviolet rays from the sun penetrate into the upper layers of unprotected skin, quickly damaging skin cells even before you start showing any signs of sunburn or tan. That “healthy glow” is caused by the release of enzymes by your skin’s defense mechanism, in an attempt to repair the damaged cells - basically your body’s ‘cry for help’.

Conscious Living: Visualization and Emotionalization

There are times I think I am not sure of something which I absolutely know—Mongkut, King of Siam
By now you’ve probably discovered the power of visualization in your life. You know how to create pictures in your mind of what you want to appear in your life. It’s a useful skill to have, because most of us come from a background in which we went around creating negative pictures in our minds unconsciously. Far better to create conscious pictures of what you want rather than spending the same energy creating unconscious picture of what you don’t.

Has anyone ever heard of 'Electropollution'?
Posted May 1st, 2008 by Lisa CainI would love, per Dr. Clair's advice, to talk to anyone who has heard of electromagnetic frequencies and their effect upon one's body.
Start now!

The great thing about this amazing work of art called a human being is that we possess the ability to very dramatically change ourselves if we so desire. I'm not talking our clothes, we can actually change ourselves physically, emotionally and spiritually and we can do it right now. I don't suggest you try to change too many things at once-just as with exercise, when you start a new routine after a long lay off you can be pretty sore the next few days. But I do suggest you take stock of yourself, congratulate yourself for making it this far and then decide what you want to work on.

How important is indoor air quality

Indoor Air Quality Concerns
All of us face a variety of risks to our health as we go about our day-to-day lives. Driving in cars, flying in planes, engaging in recreational activities, and being exposed to environmental pollutants all pose varying degrees of risk. Some risks are simply unavoidable. Some we choose to accept because to do otherwise would restrict our ability to lead our lives the way we want. And some are risks we might decide to avoid if we had the opportunity to make informed choices. Indoor air pollution is one risk that you can do something about.
